The 3^rd of April debuting day is the date the iPad will start shipping in America. All models will hit shelves in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K. by late April, with later rollout dates for other nations. U.S. customers can begin pre-ordering both models beginning on March 12.

In Malta the product will be available I would assume some time after. Since Malta is not considered to be part of the world.

I wonder if we will start seeing lots of people with the iPad all around Malta…

This tablet is powered by the Android, a very popular OS for phones and larger devices. It uses the next generation NVIDIA Tegra chipset with a Pixel Qi display. The Tegra is an incrediable chipset allowing devices to process full HD video streams while only using a little power. Combine this with the high tech display unit, which uses considerably less power and you start to understand why this device is much more appealing than an iPad.

This unit is not only more powerful than the iPad (capable of outputting full HD movies andplaying more graphic intensive games, the iPad can only handle 576p/480p) but the battery life is considerably longer than the iPad. Rohan Shravan, the CEO, suggested that the battery life of this device could be 2-3x longer than that what the iPad manages. According to Jobs the iPad manages 10hrs so this would be in the range of 20-30 hours.

Next week there is the Mobile World Congress where further details about this tablet will be announced. There will also be a demonstration of the Adam running flash; something that the iPad can’t do and probably won’t ever manage to do because of the closed user experience on the device.

During the conference Adam should be announcing an Applications Competition, similar to Google’s Android Developer Challenge. This will encourage software developers to design applications for the Adam tablet. It’s been suggested that there will be over 1 million Us Dollars in prizes to give away.

When I say helpful I mean that for example if it’s a dog it must bring in the newspaper, scare off intruders and finally change my graphics card and optimize my computer. Most of you were thinking I wanted a dog. I wanted a dog before I found out what this monkey can do.

My pet will be this monkey. It would be a perfect relationship. I would buy him a small netbook, it would be like a normal laptop for humans. Maybe even start a new company which would compete with the Apple Geniuses. If Steve Jobs reads this he might get an idea of replacing all his geniuses.

• Firstly it’s an Apple product and whatever they seem to be doing nowadays generates trucks load of cash.
• It’s not expensive (priced at 500 US Dollars).
• Great Battery life.
• People for some reason I can’t comprehend love iTunes.
• The ideal device for Multitouch technology

This device is attempting to seek and destroy all laptop and netbooks on a global scale. The iPad has declared war on all laptop based products.

Hopefully this blog won’t just be about stuff Apple do but so far it seems to be heading that way. Below there is a video of the a hands on interaction with the Apple iPad.

Though the iPad seems to be the ultimate gadget and portable internet device there is still one thing it can’t do. Apple seems to hate FLASH. For those who don’t know most of the online games you play on website use flash and if a site contains any animation it most likely uses flash. By not supporting this popular web technology they have restricted access to a large number of websites.

Like its older brother this iPad does not support multitasking, meaning that you are stuck running on application at a time. No handwriting recognition either. No camera either though not sure if this was exactly required. However it would of been cool video conferencing on skype on the device. Tours of houses will never be the same.

The future might end up that all techies will own and use PCs and all the average users will use Apple products. The average users will not be able to fully use the web and will be stuck with a device that has a lot in common with the first personal organizers just with turbo charged graphics.

Luckily for anyone who is an early adopter of the iPad can still access this site.

The device seems to work very well. Response time of the device seems to be top notch and the multi-touch makes me even want the device…

I am still not sure exactly what this device will be used for. Jobs said it’s a dream to type on so maybe it can replace netbooks and maybe even laptops though I am not sure how ready I would be to only use that device to replace my laptop. I think it has potential as a media player and general internet surfing. If it came with a huge bean bag that would be ideal, like the sumo.

Now for anyone that knows me, probably knows the fact that I am not a big fan of Apple (I hate them). I respect the products they create and I understand why they do the stuff that they do but since I tend to lean on the side of good (open source software) I don’t like them. I don’t like the fact that you have to register and pay a yearly fee to develop applications on the iPhone. The fee is not waived if you want to produce a free app. They do this because the only legal way to download and install apps is through itunes and for your product to reach that point it has to be approved by Steve’s henchmen. So in the end of the day they have full control of your experience of the device by controlling what Apps you can install. I have a Nokia N97 which gives out the SDK free on their website and there are a number of ways to create apps for the phone. You only pay if you want your application to be sold for money on OVI. I understand that most people don’t really care about this.

At the moment the stupidest thing I can see with the device is the name. “iPad”. I can’t believe they actually decided to use this name. I would have gone for something obvious such as iSlate or iTablet. These were how the rumours were going. In the past the Apple attempted to release the iPad but in another way. Finally Jobs has already turned his eye to the future. In the video below there are some working prototypes though no announcement on dates yet.
